Harvard Business School

branding/identity

Harvard Business School wanted to research a modified crest design that would reproduce more easily across a wide array of mediums. The original crest had a lot of complexity in the shells, scalloped cross, and the books along the top edge, making some applications difficult to reproduce well. The updated crest has been better optimized for reproducing at small sizes. Also shown are some of the alternative options presented and some of the research into adjusting the legibility of the books in the top half of the crest.
